ImmTrac is a secure and confidential registry designed to consolidate childrens immunization records from multiple sources statewide in one centralized system. Texas law requires that parents of newborns be offered the opportunity to GRANT or DENY consent for their childs immunization record to be stored in ImmTrac, during the birth registration process. DSHS invites Texas Obstetricians and Gynecologists to partner in the States efforts to educate expectant women and women planning a family about ImmTrac to enable them to make an informed decision when presented with the ImmTrac consent options during the birth registration process. |
