ImmTrac is the Texas immunization registry, a free service offered by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). ImmTrac is a secure and confidential registry designed to consolidate children’s immunization records from multiple sources statewide in one centralized system.

Texas law requires that parents of newborns be offered the opportunity to “GRANT” or “DENY” consent for their child’s immunization record to be stored in ImmTrac, during the birth registration process. DSHS invites Texas Obstetricians and Gynecologists to partner in the State’s efforts to educate expectant women and women planning a family about ImmTrac to enable them to make an informed decision when presented with the ImmTrac consent options during the birth registration process.
